Uncle Agony #10-Fire! Fire! Fire!

By my queenstown on Friday, August 13, 2010 with 0 comments

"Uncle Agony" is a segment where residents can email us their concerns and troubles. We will answer all your queries and hope that the issue, can be resolved in a peaceful and amicable manner. Of course, the information we provide are mere suggestions from our team and do not represent any official institutions or anyone. In this way, we hope Queenstown residents can "breathe a little easier..."

During one of the visits to residents at Stirling View for Love@MyQueenstown, an Indian family was perturbed by the cluttering of rubbish and flower pots outside her flat. Despite constant reminders and complaints to the HDB Branch (Queenstown), her neighbour remained unfazed. She's afraid that these flower pots will become fire hazard.

MyQueenstown's Reply: Residents and Friends of Queenstown must remember that it takes a collective effort from everyone to make our living environment better. One such selfish resident may cause unnecessary worries for their neighbours. We live together under one roof =)

Residents can call toll-free 24 hour hotline 1800 280 0000 to report fire hazards to the Singapore Civil Defence Force. Personnel from SCDF will inspect the location and issues penalties for these residents!
