Tonight@MyQueenstown #10- A Date With Mok Mok in Tanglin Halt KTM Tracks

By my queenstown on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 with 2 comments

The banana plants and rainforest trees along Commonwealth Park, parallel to the KTM tracks, were mentioned in many "ghost haunters" blogs and websites in Singapore. They were believed to be home to many wandering spirits and bloodthirsty ghosts killed along the tracks. Residents had feedback through our facebook earlier this year that the KTM tracks were "convenient" for committing suicide. Furthermore, older residents living along Commonwealth Drive had deduced that the sightings of ghosts and spirits could be attributed to soldiers who died halfway while being transported to Alexandra Hospital (then British Military Hospital) for treatment during World War II. Are there ghosts at Tanglin Halt? Let's find out in Tonight @ MyQueenstown!

Tall trees are said to be home to spirits

As we walked along the KTM railway tracks, we took caution of the night train which will be zooming past behind. The occasional sounds of the crickets and uneven pavement made the entire trail eerie and exciting. We were unable to take many photographs because in front us were pitch dark and we did not bring any torches with us.

Our KTM Night Walk!

The soothing breeze was not helpful in calming our nerves. We took several photographs of the surroundings and silently hoped that we had not encountered any "dirty" things. We continued to concentrate on the surroundings. Imagining stuff that was not there would freak us out.

Suddenly, the wind became stronger and cooler. The shocked face of one of our our correspondent who blurted, "Let's get out of here," made the rest of us panicky. We dashed into the lighted walkway subsequently and we were off to Tanglin Halt Blk 88.

It's better to run first!

We peered through some of the photos we had taken:

Photo 3

Photo 1 was pretty normal. As for photo 2, our photograph did not shake the camera and the photo was normal when we browsed through in Blk 88. Was it an act of the spirit or the refraction of light? Photo 3: Look at left hand side of photo! It seems there is "someone" staring at the us! Chillx.
