Wave Games!

Tucked at one corner of BLK 157 Mei Ling Street is a one-month old shop, Wave Games. Pioneered and Run by two enthusiastic youngsters, Vincent, 28 and Wilbert, 22, Wave Games is the one and only youth themed concept store in Queenstown! Today, we have the honour to have these two courageous young Queenstown entrepreneurs to speak to us about this unique shop!

Wave Games at Blk 157

Wave Games was conceptualised by passion from the two young residents who lived in Queenstown. It aims to add vibrancy and enthusiasm in otherwise, an old estate. Open on weekdays from 12-9pm and weekends from 9am to 9pm, Wave Games offer console repair services; sales of games, accessories, trading cards and toys such as Japanese plush. Further discounts are given to students when they present their student pass.

Chit and chatter greeted the My Queenstown team when we entered the shop on a weekday afternoon. They were many kids renting games and enjoying themselves thoroughly. We understood that some of these children live in rental districts and do not get any opportunities to own and play these premium console games. Rental rates were charged very affordably and the owners did not have any plans to raise the rates because they knew that this would add to the financial burden of these children's families. Being the one and only youth-themed shop, Wave Games have definitely interest us as much as these children!
